Sara Stone is a Certified Nurse Midwife who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2020 and Master of Science in Nursing in 2022 from Emory University. Prior to finding her way to midwifery, she worked in varying fields of social service. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology in 2009 from Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, and a Master of Science degree in Peace and Development Work in 2012 in Vaxjo, Sweden. Her prior work experience ranges from working with refugee women in Greece to working with teenage girls in foster care in South Carolina. Each of these experiences shaped her passion and interest in providing holistic healthcare. As a nurse, Sara has worked in postpartum care, mental health, and outpatient procedural care.
Sara strives to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care throughout the lifespan. She aims to empower patients to be active participants in their care to help make informed choices for themselves and their families in order to achieve optimal wellness. Sara is especially passionate about reproductive healthcare, sexual health, and mental health.
When not caring for patients, Sara enjoys swimming, yoga, knitting, gardening and being outdoors, and spending time with her husband.
